A Victorian property with high ceilings, good light and an elegant fireplace. The room was to be used a Guest bedroom and the theme for the design was based around the fireplace, which had an early 1930’s feel to it. This was in poor condition as was the rest of the room and needed to be cleaned up and some of the missing tiles replaced and a new hearth added. Depth and character were added with the use of large-scale wallpaper, warmer paint tones on the other walls and co-coordinating colour in the use of new curtains, lighting and accessories. Removing the old radiator reconfigured the layout of the room and this allowed for the repositioning of the bed and the focus being placed on the reinstated fireplace.
